Bibles for Pakistan
Through a series of "God" connections, Joe and I have become involved in supporting several churches in Pakistan. When we first met these dear saints, our hearts were so moved with compassion for their difficult and dire circumstances. These are our brothers and sisters in Christ, yet they are living in severe persecution, terrible fear, extreme lack, and heavy oppression, yet when we speak with them we hear the intense love and loyalty they have for Jesus and we became immediately connected. These dear saints are involved heavily in pastoring their own churches, but also they are ministering and supervising other small church plants and evangelizing the villages and towns around them in Pakistan.
Prophetic Ministries has sown financial support into these churches, however, recently a dear group of believers has reached out to us in need of bibles in their Pakistan national language - Urdu. These dedicated people go from town to town, and village to village, sharing the message of the gospel to convert muslims to the truth of Christianity, but do not have any bibles to leave with those that receive Jesus as their Lord and Savior. Can you imagine hearing the wonderful news of Jesus and salvation, but not having your bible to read and learn of the wonderful things that God has to say to you? Joe and I were once again moved with compassion for these people, and immediately felt the unction of the Holy Spirit to respond to their needs and send bibles. We have only been able to send a fraction of what is in our hearts to do, but we are believing God for the resources to send thousands upon thousands of bibles into Pakistan!
The Urdu language bible was recently released in a new updated translation, prior to this release, the newest translation was from 1963. Most of the bibles these people have are ancient and rough translation. God has put it in our hearts to partner with these churches and begin sending bibles on a regular basis to bring the whole truth of God's written word to the nation of Pakistan. Currently, the Urdu bible in hardback cover for durability costs us $8.50, not as inexpensive as the english translations available all over the internet. We invite you and implore you to join with us in this vision and sow a gift into this desperate need. Jesus commanded us to go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. The Lord knew that some of us would physically go into the world and do the preaching, but He also knew that some of us would support and provide for those who are actually going and doing the preaching...the reward for obedience is the same to both!
